Three students being sponsored by LHA scholarships

In 2008, our generous friend from Hong Kong, Ms. Chen Yuk Chun, donated $4,000 to LHA. This money has been used to provide scholarships for university students, who are poor and from rural areas of Siem Reap.

Three students are currently being sponsored by LHA scholarships: Peou Seav, Phally Ung, and Ven. Lorm Loeurm. Both Peou and Phally are orphans.

Peou and Ven. Loeurm are third-year students at the University of South East Asia. Peou studies Accounting and Ven. Loeurm studies Business Management. Phally is a first-year student in Management at the Build Bright University. In their free time, both Peou and Phally volunteer at the LHA office, and Ven. Loeurm has been put in charge of ISAI program - Improving Social Accountability Initiative.

All scholarships are partial. During the first year of studies, LHA covers 100% of tuition fees, while each following year the financial support is being reduced by 25%.
