The students at LHA have shown kindness and empathy by giving back to their communities when helping to distribute food emergencey packs to 500 patients at 4 local hospitals (Siem Reap Provincial Hospital, Kro-lanh Referral Hospital, Pouk Hospital, and Sutranikum Hospital) who were impacted by the recent floods in Cambodia.

Due to the horrendous floods some of the patients became very ill and when they received medical attention they could not go home as they did not have anywhere to go; their homes and villages were completely or partially cut-off or destroyed by the floods.

The students appealed to LHA Friends and Families to help fund the provisoning of the emergency food packs so the LHA team could disrtibute them to all patients in need.  Each "emergency pack" cost $12 and included: 15kg of rice, 2 cans of fish, 1kg of sugar, and 1 bottle of soy sauce.

LHA wishes to thank all those who donated and supported this Emergency Food Campaign.
