Matthew Lee from Singapore has donated $1,400 and built a new
house for a poor family living in Chong Knea village. The family
consists of a widow mother and eight children.
The old house was too small for such a big family. Due to the floods, each year they had to rent a small peace of land on the other side of the road and move there house there.
The new house was completed in two days. There were many people working on the site: the relatives and neighbors of the family, the monks of Wat Damnak and the sponsor himself.
